- If the inner cushions or pads loosen up or come off then, the helmet is no good in providing comfort, and it is better just to replace it
- If there are some indentations visible on the exterior of the helmet, it may not be an alarming issue, but every single shock a helmet absorbs also deteriorates the life of the product.

Tips for Improving the Life of Helmets

- If the mask is not used on daily basis, keep it in the dry place to avoid exposing it to humid conditions
- Do not put the helmets on extreme sunlight. The plastic linings and other materials may turn sticky and deteriorate when it comes in direct contact with the sun.
- If water is used for cleaning the helmets, try to exercise caution by not putting the water in the interior of the helmet, where the foam is attached. Water mixed with soap can affect the quality of foam.
- Do not exert too much abuse on the helmet and always try to keep it safe from hitting the ground or any object.
Helmets may have limited life span, but a bit of care can certainly improve the overall life. One can use the some degree of to a certain level of its deterioration, however, exceeding the safety standards is not a good gamble to play with life.
